Olivia Heitter Scholarship
Olivia was a student athlete who held over a 4.0 average GPA. She was offered many D1 scholarships, a full-ride scholarship to Westpoint, but chose Northern Illinois University to stay close to home. She played four years at NIU and went to two NCAA women's basketball tournaments. After college, she lived in Tennessee for 17 years. Then she moved to Florida to be closer to family. Olivia passed away at 38 years old after a battle with cancer.
Olivia's Story
Olivia played many sports during her childhood as she grew up around boys. She was in all-star little league and senior league baseball. She was a great teammate and understood the concept of teamwork. In high school, she scored 1839 points in 3 years. She was all conference in all four sports she played; basketball, volleyball, softball, and track. She won all state 2A Queen of the Hill in basketball during her senior year. She scored a 3 pointer in 60 consecutive games.
